Santa’s Village had become a ghost town, closed for nearly two decades. Rides had been auctioned off, much of its electrical equipment was stolen and bark beetle-infested trees — destined for an incinerator — had once taken up residence in its parking lot.
But after an extensive cleanup progress, the park, built in 1955 in Skyforest near Lake Arrowhead, was ready again for a close-up. A grand reopening was set for early December 2016. Read the full article.

Picket Fence Art Studio

Woodinville's Premier Art School and Gallery founded by Jamie Lightfoot
“Jennifer is an essential part of my studio’s growth. She understands where a small creative business like mine is, where it needs to go, and how it will get there. When I transitioned from my small home studio into our retail art Woodinville space, Jennifer helped find and attract new and existing members of the local art community through social media, online and print communications and brand strategy advisement. She had ideas for building out classes, streamlining our efforts, and positioning ourselves to make a greater impact in the art world and the local community. My studio and school went from a few dozen local students to over four hundred students in a matter of months, and we’re still growing. She also helped me hone my story as an artist and position myself for greater visibility.”

While her work directly helped us explain what we did to investors and customers, she was actively looking for ways we could do better on all fronts - Jennifer even introduced us to a consumer segment we hadn't thought of.

My husband and I had a unique reason for creating our startup and Jennifer understood that. She listened to our story very deeply, and used our passion to craft a powerful publication piece. When we first got in touch with Jennifer, it was just two weeks away from our startup's pitch at Plug and Play's EXPO. Jennifer conducted an interview with us, wrote a brilliant piece, and got us featured on StartupBeat."

Personal Statement

It is my hope that we all deepen our understanding, awareness, and relationship to where we live in the world, and that we, individually and as a group, do our part to heal the wounds caused by genocide, enslavement, displacement, and other such atrocities, many of which have been intentionally carried forward into our present day and built into modern systems of power. Here is a list of books that might help you on your way to decolonizing the mind.
