in media, marketing, and more

“Publicity is absolutely critical. A good PR story is infinitely more effective than a front-page ad.”

The Creative Who Can't Sit Still
Jennifer L. Jacobson,
Founder, Principal

Jennifer is a storyteller who isn't good at sitting still. She uses storytelling to advance objectives she believes are important, and works with clients who reflect this.

Jennifer operates out of a unique love of promoting good ideas, creating beautiful things, and expanding people's understanding and agency through storytelling.

As a creative, Jennifer is a songwriter for the entertainment industry, as well as a fantasy author, and painter. She loves spending time in nature, writing songs with her vintage Casio MT-210. To learn more about how she got where she is today and the abandoned amusement park that sparked her creativity, read her story here.

Personal Statement: Why I Do What I Do

Some of the world's most important stories don't have the luxury of time.

My clients need results now, not six months from now. From civil rights to climate change, Indigenous activists, new startups, small businesses, and artists whose hearts need sharing, I get my clients results that help them leverage the power of the public.

Outpacing global PR firms? Yeah. It's kind of my thing.

I regularly replace global PR firms for my clients and get better results. I specialize in the niche, and I only choose to work with clients who I believe are making a difference. I spend my spare time learning, listening, and creating. I'm lucky in that I don't have to work for a living. I don't have to be here, but I want to be.

I don't believe in sitting back and letting false narratives and bad information run the news cycles.

I advocate for my clients because I believe their stories matter. They deserve to be known. They deserve a chance to make the world a better place.

I choose to be here.

For 25+ years I've harnessed my brain's unique way of working, my curiosity, and my tenacity to get results for my clients. I learned PR from the ground up and substituted what I didn't know with what I learned from my broadcast communications master's degree. I explored new media before it was called social media. I was designing virtual words and user engagement while most people still had dial-up.  I think differently about PR and marketing for my clients and my methods work.  I'm a one-woman PR firm with 25+ years of experience in getting communications results.
"Jennifer Jacobson is a communications professional who positions clients in the best possible light. Her insights are essential to not only creating communications initiatives, but keeping them on course. She cuts through to the heart of the matter to drive the best possible results."

A Word About Generative AI in Regards to
Comms and Creativity

One of the values I bring to my clients is my ability to grasp the "big picture" and align it with the public's current moods, thought patterns, and needs. I believe my specific brain, my heart, my experience, and my personal methodology are what separates me from those who rely on what generative AI feeds them.

I do not use generative AI, nor do I generally endorse its use for writing and creation in public relations, the music industry, or art. To all my fellow comms and creatives out there; stay human!

Land Acknowledgement

Acknowledgement to the southern Lushootseed-speaking Coast Salish Indigenous Peoples whose land I live and work on.

This land also includes the traditional land and waterways of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People of past and present. It is with honor and gratitude to the land itself, the plants, animals, and the Duwamish Tribe that I practice my work.

This land is also on and adjacent to the traditional homelands and waterways of the Puyallup Tribe. The Puyallup people have lived on and stewarded these lands since the beginning of time and continue to do so today. I recognize that this land acknowledgement is one small step toward true allyship, and I commit to uplifting the voices, experiences, and histories of the Indigenous people of this land and beyond.

Personal Statement

It is my hope that we all deepen our understanding, awareness, and relationship to where we live in the world, and that we, individually and as a group, do our part to heal the wounds caused by genocide, enslavement, displacement, and other such atrocities, many of which have been intentionally carried forward into our present day and built into modern systems of power. Here is a list of books that might help you on your way to decolonizing the mind.
